The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance in locating a missing juvenile who was last seen leaving her residence at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19. According to a press release from the sheriff’s department, 15-year-old Nevaeh Grace Smith, who goes by Grace, was last seen at approximately 5 a.m. getting into a small white passenger car. The make and model of the car is unknown. She is approximately 5’3” and weighs 133 pounds. She has long brown hair and blue/green eyes. It’s possible she may be wearing glasses. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Smith, please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 812-384-4411. Deputy Andrew Shelton is investigating the case.

Reva Pauline Wells Thatcher, 93, of Worthington, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on February 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 27, 1931, near Arney in Owen County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Dennis "Jake" and Ona (White) Wells. Pauline, as she was affectionately known, was a hardworking and dedicated woman who, alongside her husband Fletcher Thatcher Jr., owned and operated Thatcher Feed and Grain in Worthington for many years.
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son, Houston Dwayne Hinkle who went home to be with Jesus on February 2, at just 10 months old. Though his time on earth was brief, his life was filled with love, courage, and the undeniable presence of God’s grace.
Patricia L. ‘Pat’ Morrison, 76, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven, on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at IU Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on October 13, 1948 in Washington, Indiana, to Joseph and Madeline Lola (Whittenmier) Brothers. Pat married her husband, Lester W. Morrison, on February 17, 1968.
Karen L. McCombs, 87, of Linton Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on November 15, 1937 in Linton to John W. and Dorothy Ann (Sharp) West. Karen married Raymond T. McCombs on October 16, 1955.
Carole Lee Brewer, 82, of Linton, Indiana, passed from this life, with her daughter by her side, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born on April 24, 1942 in Linton to Fred E. and Betty E. (Jerrels) Tincher. Carole married the love of her life, Jackie L. Brewer, on June 14, 1957.

Saralee Bledsoe, age 68, of Linton Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from injuries sustained in a car accident on January 3, 2025. She was born in Linton on November 11, 1956, the daughter of Virgil Bledsoe and Marjorie (Lucas) Bledsoe.

Hazel Maxine (Cox) Hammond, 92, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 12:46 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Serenity Spring Senior Living in Jasonville, IN.
Paul David Gordon, 53, of Dugger, Indiana, went to Heaven, with his wife by his side, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on August 10, 1971 in Hagerstown, Maryland and was the son of Paul B. and Judith (Weigner) Gordon. Dave married his loving wife, Kelly L. (Shelton) Gordon on September 30, 2005.
