Jerry D. Brown, 72, of Lyons, went to Heaven, on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 2, 1952, in Marco, Indiana to John H. and Lois Jean (Hostetter) Brown. Jerry married his loving wife, Susan R. (Ethridge) Brown on October 15, 1989.

Jerry was a member of the Newberry Cornerstone Community Church, Switz City Masonic Lodge #676 F & AM, Iron Workers Local 429 and Ponies of America (POA). Jerry worked as a barber, an iron worker and then a truck driver before retiring as an iron worker. He enjoyed his family time, playing cards, working and showing his horses. You could always stop by for a chat or a helping hand or just a cup of coffee.

Family left to cherish the memories of Jerry include: his wife, Susan Brown; daughter, Michelle (Carlton) Sanders of Georgia; sons, Nathan (Jenna Richards) Brown of Bloomfield, Joe (Lesley) Brown of Washington and James (Amanda) Brown of Westphalia; eleven grandchildren; brother, Denny (Reenie) Brown of Newburgh and sister, Debra Wiggins of Bloomington.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Danny Ross Brown.

Funeral services to honor the life of Jerry will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Rev. Bob Bruner officiating. Jerry will be laid to rest in Marco Cemetery at a later time.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 23 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Newberry Cornerstone Community Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
