New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, July 10, 2025:

July 8, 2:29 p.m., Joseph Kenneth Myers, 33, Linton, was arrested on a warrant for theft with a prior unrelated conviction for theft or conversion, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, and theft. No bond was allowed. 

July 9, 7:19 p.m., John Tyler Murley, 33, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while intoxicated–endangerment. His bond was set at $4,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. He was released after posting $400.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
