Rosettia Ellis, age 66, of Linton, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at her home. She was born in Burksville, Kentucky on August 29, 1958, the daughter of Peyton and Lora (Booher) Anderson.

Rose and her family moved to Spencer, Indiana when she began high school, and she was a 1977 graduate of Owen Valley High School. It was during her time at Owen Valley that she met the love of her life, Brent L. Ellis. She and Brent were married August 11,1979.

Rose had her real estate license and worked as an office manager in her husband's dental practice for many years. Her greatest love was being at home, caring for her family. She also loved her two Bernadoodle's, Jasper and Maverick. Rose enjoyed decorating, traveling, entertaining, cooking, and trips to the beach. She was a member of the Linton First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dr. Brent L. Ellis of Linton; two sons, Kyle Ellis of Vicksburg and Patrick S. (Bri) Ellis of Kingsland, Georgia; granddaughter, Lily Mae Ellis; a brother, Larry (Susan) Anderson of Spencer; and a sister, Jenny (Jim) Copas of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant daughters, Ashleigh Rose Ellis and Sage Elizabeth Ellis; and three brothers, Jimmy, Warren, and Carl Anderson.

Memorial Service to celebrate Rose's life will be held at Linton First Christian Church at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 3:00 PM until the time of service.

Arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton and will be posted when available.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society, through the funeral home.
