How the Debris Removal Plan Works
To support residents in clearing tornado-related construction debris, Greene County will place 40 ten-yard roll-off bins near areas of damage. These bins will be emptied regularly to ensure adequate disposal capacity.
Residents who need assistance must move their construction debris (such as drywall, insulation, and unpainted wood) to the edge of the nearest county right-of-way for pickup. Please note:
Metal, concrete, and cinder blocks cannot be included in the county’s pickup service.
The county cannot remove debris directly from private property due to liability concerns and potential reimbursement restrictions. If reimbursement becomes available, removal from public rights-of-way will be required for eligibility.
Regardless of reimbursement opportunities, Greene County is dedicated to helping residents clean up construction debris and will provide this service during the ten-day removal period.
