Charles L.” Sonny” Vest

Charles L.” Sonny” Vest, 75, of Bloomfield, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at his residence.

Born February 22, 1950 in Linton, he was the son of Charles Edwin and Vera Jean (Thompson) Vest.

Sonny worked for Vest Trucking Corporation and owned and operated Vest Quick Mart & Subway in Worthington.

He attended the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, was a member of the Odd Fellows and the Sons of the American Legion in Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include: his children, Lesley Holland (James), Amy Fulbright (Curt), Megan Vest-Toon (Dan Raines), Abby Vest and Jordan Vest (Steve Rollins); one brother, Michael Dean Vest (Kim); his grandchildren, Darrius Philpot, Chloe Toon, Liam Fulbright, Olivia Rollins and Katelynn Fulbright.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Jim Roach officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

Public visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday.

The family asks that all memorial contribution be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s or Riley Hospital for Children.
