New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Friday, April 4, 2025:

April 3, 10:02 a.m., Dakota Joe Neal, 28, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant for theft when the value of property is at least $750 and less than $50,000. No bond was allowed. 

April 4, 2:50 a.m., Tyler James Smith, 23, Indianapolis, was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement using a vehicle and reckless driving. His bond was set at $4,500 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
