New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday, April 9, 2025:

April 8, 4:10 p.m., Christopher Eugene Walton, 54, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of interfering with public safety, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia. No bond was allowed. He was also arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery. On that charge, his bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Linton Police Department Lt. Jerrad Pirtle was the arresting officer.

April 8, 4:56 p.m., Pauline Renee Simpson, 27, Lyons, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended with a prior conviction within 10 years. Her bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. She was released after posting $100. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordan Allor was the arresting officer.
