New entries on the morning Jail Log at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, May 1, 2025:

April 30, 10:37 a.m., David Andrew Keith Speakman, 26, Washington, was arrested on a warrant for possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish/salvia. No bond was allowed. 

April 30, 11:17 p.m., Daphine Ann Murphy, 48, Solsberry, was arrested on a warrant for intimidation with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $10,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. 

May 1, 12:33 a.m., Jeffrey Dale Groomer, 35, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with bodily injury. His bond was set at $1,000 surety with 10% cash allowed. Greene County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Michael Stanley was the arresting officer.

Defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individuals are booked into jail on warrants issued by courts or on “preliminary charges” based on recommendations of investigating or arresting officers. Charges may change when a new case is filed in court by the prosecutor who reviews the case and makes the charging decision.
